The Jefferson School

We just finished our first week at the Jefferson School with nine little warriors eager to learn and grow! I want to give a huge thank you to Maeve and Leo Hickey for leadership and continued support of Kemm Aiki Bujutsu! Good job you two!! Once everyone's uniform comes in, we will take group photos as well as individual photos to frame and take home to display with pride. I am pleased to extend this groups training to our dojo at no additional charge so that other students can meet each other and train.

E.D.G.E Model Expands

Awake! Alert! Aware! How much time do we spend not really being awake moment to moment? I was an expert at "zoning out" while in school as I doodled on my note pad rather than paying attention and finishing assignments. Even as adults we drift from moment to moment, lost in thought or being absent from what is really going on. It's important to be awake with each passing second. Each drop of time presents opportunity. Don't miss it! Be alert to potential challenges that you may face. These obstacles become opportunity as you become aware of the tools you acquire by staying awake, staying alert and staying aware. Our children's EDGE program teaches these concepts at an early stage. Keeping kids safe, keeping their eyes wide open and hearts and minds ripe for learning, adventure and achievement is the ultimate goal of the EDGE program. Education, Dedication, Goal Setting, Excellence. Do you have the EDGE?

Stay Safe!
